If you are in for adventure we have a challenge for you! The itinerary of this year’s trip will visit some of the most beautiful places on Earth. We'll drive up into the Upper Penninsula of Michigan where we will glide over an 80' deep spring on a raft to watch HUGE trout swim below, swim in the warm water of Lake Michigan, explore historic Fayette State Park, and camp at beautiful Indian Lake State Park. Day 2 we will drive up to Pictured Rocks State Park where we will see waterfalls, crystal clear Lake Superior, hunt for stones along the beach, and catch a drive in movie back near camp. Day 3 we will take a 6+ mile canoe trip on pristine Manistique River, have our awards and Extreme Dinner before returning home. We’re going to do all this and more!! So come along and you will have joined an elite group and will live your life going forward in a whole new way. Nothing can take these experiences away from you. Come and enjoy the thrills, the revelry, the campfires, and the camaraderie among a certain kind of unusual people the Extreme Trip breeds – overcomers. 26 July (Fri) 7 a.m. SHARP!! Meet at the Bailey Ranch, 5838 Shannon Rd., Hartford, WI then depart 8 am
Friday itinerary: Kitchitikipi Springs- Palms Book SP, Fayette Historic SP, camp/swim at Indian Lake SP
27 July (Sat) Pictured Rocks State Park hiking, Hwy 2 Community Drive in Theatre (evening)
28 July (Sun) Canoe in Seney Wildlife Refuge on the Manistique River, Awards, arrive back at 8 pm
Trip limitations:
Must be at least 10 years old to participate without prior approval. Attendee must not be afraid of water, nor heights, and must be prepared for some strenuous physical activity and carrying their own water.
What to bring:
Pair of cheap tennis shoes or water shoes for canoeing, hiking boots, Shammy or towel, mosquito/black fly & sun protectant, snacks for trip, warm weather clothes, rain poncho, light jacket or sweatshirt, swim suit (one piece for ladies, please), travel games, bible, wide brim hat, sleeping bag for warm weather, air mattress or sleeping pad, water bottle, energy bars, day pack, flash light with new batteries, beret from past extreme trips, spending money (<$15), camera (opt).
Things that will be provided: Chaperones, recreational equipment, passes/tickets, camping fees, first aid kit, food, food prep/storage gear, tents, transportation.
