Trip preview:
Looking for some great fun and adventure?  Look no further than the 2025 Jr. Extreme Trip!  This year we will mix it up with lots of different types of adventures on a three-state road trip through Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota!  So, whether you like beautiful views, climbing, jumping, spelunking, hiking, wild rides, beautiful scenery, or just camaraderie with outgoing, fun-loving people, there is something for everyone!  ​So come along and you will have joined an elite group and will live your life going forward in a whole new way.  Nothing can take these experiences away from you.  Come and enjoy the thrills, the revelry, and the camaraderie among a certain kind of unusual people the Extreme Trip breeds – overcomers.  You’re invited…GET PREPARED, and Be There… Bonzaiii!!!!!!
[Note: we will hold a special 8-mile prep hike for those intending to come on the trip to make sure you can "carry your water".  Please meet at Holy Hill upper parking lot on July 19th at 8 am, bring water, a hat, bug spray, swimsuit, snacks, and wear shoes you intend to hike in on the Extreme trip.  We will hike to Pike Lake State Park and swim for cool down - parents please pick up your participant at noon.]

Itinerary:    NOTE - All times and events subject to change!!!!!
24 July (Thu) meet 7 am sharp Bailey Ranch, 5838 Shannon Rd., Hartford, WI to load & depart by 8 am
Backbone State Park, Dundee, IA – arrive at noon for hiking, exploring, and camping in this beautiful park.
25 July (Fri) 
Wyalusing State Park, Bagley, WI – depart Backbone State Park at 7 am, arrive at Wyalusing at 8 am for climbing and hiking the bluffs for views of the Mississippi, depart at 9:45 am
Forestville State Park Mystery Cave, Preston, MN – arrive at noon for lunch, check-in for spelunking at 12:45, then at 1:30 go on a 2-hour spelunking tour, explore rest of park, camp in group camp.
26 July (Sat)
Mall of America, Bloomington, MN – depart at 8 am from Forestville State Park, arriving at the Mall of America at 10 am for exploring this 4-story monstrous mall, and taking a few rides in the center amusement park.  Depart 3 pm.
Interstate State Park, Taylors Falls, MN – arrive 4 pm for hiking, climbing, and exploring the park above the St Croix River and Camping in the group camp.
27 July (Sun)
Brunet Island State Park, WI – depart at 8 am from Interstate State Park to enjoy hiking and swimming at Brunet Island, arrive 10 am.  Depart for Black River State Forest at noon.
Castle Mound Pine Forest State Natural Area Trail – arrive at 1:30 pm for 2 miles hiking and exploring the area, depart at 3 pm for Wisconsin Dells 
Wisconsin Dells EXTREME dinner/awards – arrive 4 pm at the Dells for Extreme Dinner & awards.  Depart for the Bailey Ranch at 6 pm ad arrive home shortly before 8 pm for distribution of gear and pickup
Trip limitations:
Must be at least 8 years old but not older than 15 years old to participate. 
(Those 18 years or older desiring to participate as a group leader please contact Kirk Bailey for consideration).  Attendee must not be afraid of water, heights, and spelunking, and must be prepared for strenuous physical activity and carrying your own water.

What to bring:
Pair of cheap tennis shoes or water shoes, hiking shoes, shammy or towel, mosquito/black fly & sun protectant, snacks for trip, small hiking backpack, warm weather clothes, rain poncho, jacket or sweatshirt for cool nights,  swim suit (one piece for ladies, please) and travel towel, travel games, bible, wide brim hat, sleeping bag for warm weather, air mattress or sleeping pad, water bottle, energy bars, day pack, flash light with new batteries, beret from past extreme trips, beret from past extreme trips, spending money (~$20), camera (opt).
Things that will be provided:  Chaperones, recreational equipment, passes/tickets, camping fees, first aid kits, food, food prep/storage gear, tents, transportation.
